We offer a variety of treatment options for restorative dentistry issues, keeping our patients’ best interests our number one priority

Restorative dentistry includes fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and implants.

For information about fillings, see our Cosmetic Dentistry section.

Crowns may be needed on teeth for one or more reasons:

  • Teeth that can no longer support very large fillings
  • Teeth that are cracked
  • Teeth that had root canal therapy
  • Teeth that are severely worn
  • Esthetic improvement

A crown is a full covering of a tooth to give it strength to chew on. Bridges are essentially crowns connected together to fill in a space left by a missing tooth.

There are different types of crowns and bridges we offer:

  • Full gold
  • Porcelain fused onto gold
  • All porcelain

The type of crown you may need depends on which tooth it is, what kind of bite you have, and esthetic concerns. Dr. Lessig offers only the highest quality materials and works closely with her dental lab to ensure you receive the most comfortable and esthetic restoration you deserve!

Dental implants are a way of replacing missing teeth or a way of anchoring full or partial dentures. Whether you are missing one, several, or all teeth, dental implants can offer you a feeling of security about smiling and chewing. Implants can be thought of as a long-term investment in your dental health. The most common misconception of dental implants is that they are not affordable. This investment may be small compared to what it would take to replace a fixed bridge. Implants preserve bone, and give you the feel you once felt with all your natural teeth in place.

Dr. Lessig can discuss implants with you as a restorative option. For more information about implant dentistry, you may want to go to the American Dental Association’s website www.ada.org.

Whether you need a new denture or have an existing denture that you are unhappy with, we can help!  Dentures should be relined every few years to restore the retentive qualities of the denture and prevent sore spots when it gets loose. Teeth also can wear down and lose function. Dr. Lessig can help you understand what would be the best solution to a denture issue.
Partials are similar to dentures as they are taken out to clean and at bedtime. Partials are held in by other teeth and can serve as a resonable option for replacing one or several teeth. We would be happy to discuss which kind of partial could work best for your situation.
